Pensioners' Treat at Lea Marston Hotel

The 4 star Lea Marston Hotel in Sutton Coldfield provided a free festive lunch for the local pensioners of Marston and Lea Marston Villages on Monday 12th December.

This is the 23rd consecutive year that Lea Marston Hotel has hosted this splendid occasion and welcomed a total of 42 local residents to this year’s lunch.

Everyone who attended received pre-dinner drinks in the bar, followed by an excellent 3-course Christmas meal with wine and crackers, all finished off with coffee and mince pies and a present for everyone to open on Christmas day.

Two happy attendees at the event were Colin and Lynn Perry from Lea Marston who concluded after the event: “On behalf of all the residents who attended, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all the management and staff of The Lea Marston Hotel for this most enjoyable treat which is very much appreciated.”

AA success for Lea Marston Hotel

Lea Marston Hotel received a recent visit from the AA and gave an excellent performance. The 4 star hotel scored 76% and retained it's 2 AA Rosettes.

The AA report praised Lea Marston Hotel claiming, "Hospitality was proactive throughout the stay, with staff willing to engage across all departments".  The report in particular gave special mention to reservations, reception and the restaurant experience remarketing, "The staff here are a real strength".

Great Midland Fun Run Success!

Many congratulations to Lea Marston Hotel staff for tackling the Great Midland Fun Run on Sunday 5th June 2011. Nine Lea Marston Hotel staff members braved the 8.5 miles of the Great Midland Fun Run raising money for the wonderful charity the Cancer Support Group. Lea Marston staff members are in training for the Sutton Fun Run on Sunday 5th June. Liz Gibbon, Katja Townsend, Katie Pratt, Sam Jennings, Sarah Jephcott, Jacqui Hands, Carly Meer, Heidi Bryan, Elaine Barker and Katie Walker are all Lea Marston staff members preparing to tackle the Sutton Fun Run. Katie Walker has previously run for the county and is one of the favourites to win, no pressure Katie. Lea Marston Staff members have been getting sponsored for the event, raising money for the wonderful charity The Cancer Support Group. We wish them lots of luck. Fun at Drayton Manor Theme Park this Easter

Families looking for an extravaganza of fun this Easter should visit the award-winning Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Success at the MARCHE Awards

The MARCHE Awards dinner and presentation evening was held on Sunday 27th March at the ICC in Birmingham and once again Lea Marston staff showed great success.

With many of Lea Marston staff getting through to the finals of the prestigious MARCHE Awards it was Beverly Robinson who scooped a prize, winning the silver award for 'Housekeeper of the year' 

The MARCHE Awards (Midlands Association of Restaurants, Caterers, Hotels an Entertainment) were established in 1997 to encourage training, motivation and team building for organisations operating within the hospitality and leisure industries.

Competitions are held in various categories, and the winners of each section together with the 'Grand Finale' prize are announced at an Awards Night. This glittering evening is held each Spring at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham.
